Lumina Couriers respects the privacy of the clinics, laboratories, pharmacies, and driver applicants who use our services. This policy describes what we collect and how we handle it.

• Information we collect

  When you request a dispatch or quote, we collect contact details (name, organization, email, phone), pickup and delivery addresses, and shipment specifics such as material type and urgency. Driver applicants submit license, vehicle, and insurance details, including uploaded document files.

• How we use your information

  We use the information you provide to coordinate pickups and deliveries, assign drivers, generate tracking codes, communicate status updates, vet driver applicants, and fulfill our service obligations to your clinic or laboratory.

• How we store and protect data

  Records are stored on access-controlled infrastructure. Access to dispatch and application records is limited to authorized Lumina Couriers staff. Uploaded documents are transmitted over encrypted connections and stored in the platform’s secure file storage.

• HIPAA-aware handling

  Lumina Couriers operates as a medical logistics provider. While this policy describes our data practices, transport of protected health information is governed by our Business Associate Agreement and chain-of-custody protocols, available on request.

• Sharing and disclosure

  We do not sell your information. We share shipment details only with the assigned courier and, where necessary to complete a delivery, with the receiving facility. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect rights and safety.

• Data retention

  Dispatch records and supporting documents are retained for the period required to satisfy operational, billing, and regulatory obligations, then deleted or de-identified in line with our retention schedule.

• Your rights

  You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe and in accordance with applicable law.

These Terms govern your use of Lumina Couriers’s dispatch and courier services. By requesting a dispatch or submitting a driver application, you agree to these Terms.

• Service description

  Lumina Couriers provides time-sensitive medical courier and dedicated route services across North Chicagoland. Requesting a dispatch constitutes a request for service subject to these Terms and our operating procedures.

• Booking and quotes

  Pricing estimates are indicative and may vary based on distance, urgency, handling requirements, and route conditions. A binding rate, if applicable, is confirmed at dispatch. Recurring schedules remain in effect until cancelled by either party with reasonable notice.

• Chain of custody

  Shipments are handled under documented chain-of-custody procedures. The requesting party is responsible for accurate pickup and delivery instructions and for ensuring items are properly packaged and labeled for transport.

• Liability

  Lumina Couriers exercises care in handling and transporting shipments. Liability for loss or damage is limited to the terms set forth in the applicable service agreement and may be subject to declared value or insurance arrangements. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

• Driver applications

  Submission of a driver application does not guarantee engagement. Applicants authorize verification of license, driving record, and insurance information, and consent to a background check where applicable. Drivers are engaged as independent contractors, not employees.

• Acceptable use

  Users agree not to misuse this platform, submit false or misleading information, or attempt to access data or systems without authorization. We may restrict access for conduct that violates these Terms or applicable law.

• Changes to these terms

  Lumina Couriers may update these Terms and our Privacy Policy as our services evolve. Material changes will be communicated through the platform. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

• Governing law

  These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts located within the service area, except where prohibited by law.
